On Tuesday I was lucky to meet with Ruthie Allen, a photographer based in Northwest Arkansas. We spent 2 hours at Starbucks (and probably could have gone for much longer!) talking about life and photography. I loved listening to Ruthie’s stories : how she got started taking pictures, her travels, and how she met her husband. Making a new friend made me feel all bubbly inside!
I’ll be up bright & early tomorrow shooting a family session. My camera bag is packed and ready by the door – I am so excited!
I hope your weekend is cozy and mellow… and that you have lots of leftovers to enjoy (namely, pie!)
i want to take pretty photos like yours when i grow up.
keep them coming…
Aww, Thank you Leanne! I hope you’re staying warm & enjoying these last bits of November!
I’m always so inspired after talking to musicians I admire – I think it’s absolutely necessary for getting creative ideas, business tips and just plain old validation of what I’m doing.
Your photos are gorgeous. I love that cupcake shot! I just want to eat the whole thing…and I don’t even like coconut!
Thank you so much Amy! YES! It is totally wonderful to share information and interact with someone in the same profession as you. Very refreshing. I’m going to admit that I had another coconut cupcake today… I feel like you either are a fan of it or you’re not… normally I’m a fan of the lemon, but sometimes I like to be bold & go for something different

Sounds like an awesome lunch! Love the photo, beautiful depth of field!
Thank you Alex
) Yeah… I should try and make my lunches a little more well rounded. Like with vegetables. I’ll work on that!
