The day Michael & Malia were married was absolutely perfect. They started the morning getting ready at Malia’s grandmother’s home, overlooking Kaneohe Bay. You can tell this is a special place the moment you step through the hibiscus entwined front gate. The winding path up the hill to the house is lined with ferns, an old boat, and colorful buoys. Keep following the path, and you’ll end up in a lush garden: manicured branches hung with air plants, and bright orange bougainvillea. You can tell this kind of place was created and kept with so much love. It only makes sense that Michael & Malia’s day started here, in this space.
Their wedding ceremony was held on Kailua Beach, on the windward side of Oahu, Hawaii, overlooking the two Mokolua Islands. In front of their dearest friends and family, standing on scattered orchid blooms, Malia & Michael became husband & wife. Everyone cheered and headed back to Kaneohe Bay, and up that fern lined path to get the celebration going.
This amazing day was filled with kisses on sun-freckled noses, sand, flip flops, the fresh smell of ginger blossoms, delicious food, laughter, and of course – love. Looking through these photos, I am filled with a centering joy. Michael and Malia, thank you so much for letting me be a part of this beautiful day! I wish you every happiness in your new life together.
